At 18, I journeyed from the former Soviet Union to the United States in search of a better life. Instead of starting as an attorney, I first experienced the legal system from the client’s perspective. Facing financial constraints and vulnerability, I had to navigate the legal terrain on my own. This challenging experience, coupled with the guidance of a legal aid society attorney, instilled in me a vow: to fiercely and fervently represent my clients, ensuring justice prevailed.
